HISTORY

Jackson County Utility District (JCUD) has been serving  Jackson County, Tennessee and its communities since 1970. The town of Gainesboro is located in the Upper Cumberland area of Middle Tennessee, approximately 88 miles east of Nashville and 125 miles west of Knoxville. The surrounding area is filled with flat hills, deep valleys and round top mountains, sprawling with greenery throughout the spring and summer before turning into a vast array of color in the fall. We currently have close to 3500 meter connections and 423 miles of main water line to maintain.

OUR TEAM

The utility is currently home to 7 employees. The Manager & Certified Operator Brandon Holland is tasked with the everyday operations of the utility.

OPERATIONS

The utility has  a fleet of 5 trucks which perform various tasks. These tasks range from line installation & repair, meter reading, tank & pump maintenance, emergency repair, line locating and more. Our trucks are outfitted and supplied with all the equipment necessary to provide prompt and efficient service to our customers.
